Apollo Fountain
Romantic, green and purely beautiful! Perfect garden for picnic. It is about 1-hour train from the center of Paris to here. The ticket for the Palace + garden + Trianon Palace and Marie-Antoinette's Estate is €25. You can also choose to buy ticket to enter each part. And do remember to buy ticket online, or else you might end up queuing for 3 hours like my friends did. (There're 2 seperate queues: 1 to buy ticket, & 1 to enter the Palace which took us about 30 minutes). And a final note is it's better to bring your own lunch here to save time & money. This place is super-crowded during weekends.

Versailles - the Palace
one of the most beautiful ceilings I've seen! Compared to Musée du Louvre, the ceilings here are much higher and wider with lots of chandeliers. The paintings and golden-coloured details are fantastic, just not easy to capture on camera.

After visiting the Palace, we were relaxing at the garden next to the lake. It was a truly enjoyable time!

Versailles garden - happiness
Versailles garden by a lake - day dreaming
This's close to heaven, the wind blows freely & the sun shines softly, the smell of green grass and wild flowers, the sound of boats moving slowly in a tranquil lake..
A wonderful picnic day for us, after lunch and taking a short nap, we started to play on the grass :-D. The grass here isn't hard at all & makes the most comfortable bed actually.
It was funny when we set up the camera for five seconds to take us a pic and he threw himself to the grass beside me :-P after the shot he confessed that he almost fell down, but before that, it looked so really funny that both of us were laughing our hearts out :-D.
Day dreaming...
Visiting Versailles was probably one of the most enjoyable experiences of mine!
Little shy pony
Luckily we saved 1 nectarine for this little cute pony.
Smart cute sheep - an attempt. His hair must be cut some short time ago.
He's the only sheep stood near the string fence so that tourists could feed him (probably the biggest too :-D).

top left: On the way to the Marie-Antoinette's Estate which we didn't have enough time to come in, it's closed at 6pm. top right: in front of the Palace. The garden is unbelievably large, it took us abt 20-25mins to walk from the Palace to the grass field by the lake which is just a part (I think 1/4) of the garden. We actually missed a number of visiting sites just to rest on the perfect green grass field after lunch. It's better to rent a bike to go around (€17 whole day or #per hour).
